Making Delicious Whole Wheat Bread Explained
Making whole wheat bread requires special procedures and it is important to know about it. Homemade whole wheat bread is characteristic for its texture and noticeable taste. It also contains important nutrients to keep you slim, healthy and fit. Many people decide to use just whole wheat flour, but their bread does not have the right firm quality. It’s possible to get a pretty tough bread if you decide to follow your own rules. Below here you will find tips that were proven to work by experts.
Basics
To make the best 100% whole wheat bread, you need 3 things. First tip: either use enough high protein flour, or else add some wheat gluten into the bread dough when making it. Second, avoid adding flour a long while before you need to. Third, kneading the dough has to be consistent and done non-stop. You will find that using a food processor helps you with the kneading process, since you get to save more time and effort. You can also use your hands or a mixer with a dough hook to get the job done.
Developing strong gluten in order to get a soft crumb and nice texture is essential, as whole wheat flour is heavier then white flour. The higher protein content you have, the more gluten available. Avoid adding too much flour or you risk creating loaves that are hard as a brick. Kneading continuously leads to gluten forming a consistent and strong matrix.
Now For The Recipe
The amounts for making one full loaf are: 2 tablespoons of vital wheat gluten, 3.5 cups of 100% whole wheat flour, 1 tablespoon of oil, 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt, 1 package of dry yeast, 1 tablespoon of liquid lecithin and warm water. Always use ice water when kneading the dough with a food processor. Once you master the recipe, feel free to add more ingredients like seeds and nuts.
The mentioned ingredients are the right amount for making a loaf about 1 1/4 pounds, and is suitable to be baked in a 4.5 x 8.5 inch pan. This pan is ideal compared to metal or glass pans. Metal is the best material because it allows the bread to bake evenly and you get a perfect outside crust. This pan also cleans up very easily.
The Process
Wanting to make 100% whole wheat bread, you can several processes that create a crusty and soft texture outcome. You can knead using a food processor, your hands or the mixer, but the process is radically the same. The 4 processes included are the mixing process, the kneading process, the rising process and the baking process.
You can also bread makers to complete the difficult work.
Another way how to make bread is using bread machines. They do everything in the correct order and help with adding the right amounts for each ingredient that you need to use. You can have the machine operate independently to do the four processes. This certainly works great with white flour dough. It is not ideal for dough that is 100% whole wheat flour. Whole wheat bread needs to be prepared with enough rising and kneading time. Make sure to have a look at what bread machines can do, as they are fantastic nowadays.

Cents and Sustainability $39.95 Cents and Sustainability is a clear-sighted response to the 1987 call by Dr Gro Brundtland in Our Common Future to achieve a new era of economic growth that is 'forceful and at the same time socially and environmentally sustainable'. The Brundtland Report argued that not only was it achievable, but that it was an urgent imperative in order to achieve a transition to sustainable development while significantly reducing poverty and driving 'clean and green' investment. With some still arguing for significantly slowing economic growth in order to reduce pressures on the environment, this new book, Cents and Sustainability, shows that it is possible to reconcile the need for economic growth and environmental sustainability through a strategy to decouple economic growth from environmental pressures, combined with a renewed commitment to achieve significant environmental restoration and poverty reduction. Beginning with a brief overview of some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, the book then explains 'decoupling theory', overviews a number of factors that can undermine and even block efforts to decouple in both developed and developing countries, and then discusses a number of key considerations to assist the development of national 'decoupling strategies'. The book then focuses on presenting evidence to support greater action, not just on climate change, but also on decoupling economic growth from the loss of biodiversity and the deterioration of natural systems, freshwater extraction, waste production, and air pollution. In the lead up to the 2012 United Nations Earth Summit and beyond, Cents and Sustainability will be a crucial guide to inform and assist nations to develop strategies to significantly reduce environmental pressures, strengthen their economy, create jobs and reduce poverty. 'I commend the team from The Natural Edge Project and their partners for undertaking to develop a response to 'Our Common Future' to mark its 20th anniversary.' 99 Cents $16.98 Though there was a three-year gap between Chicks on Speed’s debut album Will Save Us All! and its follow-up 99 Cents, the band was busy evolving via a prolific amount of singles. And, though the release of Will Save Us All! and 99 Cents roughly bookended the rise and fall of electroclash, the Chicks’ second album underscores that the band still has more vitality and ideas than most other artists associated with that trend ever did. 99 Cents reaffirms that the band is more of a smart electronic pop project than anything else: fashion, consumerism, and conventional notions of originality and authenticity are all questioned and played with in the group’s intellectually mischievous way. Chicks on Speed do this most overtly on the album’s singles, such as the anti-rock of “We Don’t Play Guitars,” which nevertheless features a six-string solo and cameo from kindred spirit Peaches. The band borrows the Tom Tom Club’s highbrow but inclusive dance-pop of “Wordy Rappinghood” and emphasizes its party vibe by inviting virtually every likeminded female electronic artist — including Miss Kittin, Kevin Blechdom, Le Tigre, Adult.’s Nicola Kuperus, and the Tom Tom Club’s own Tina Weymouth — to sing on the track. “Fashion Rules,” with its vaguely creepy refrain of “fashion is for fashion people,” reflects the band’s mingled fascination and repulsion for its targets. The title track could have been one of their most obvious attacks on consumerism, but it admits some ambivalence (“I’m not crazy about money, but I like what it can do”), and the album’s liner notes also double as a catalog of Chicks on Speed merch. However, several of 99 Cents’ album tracks make the group’s points more subtly and are some of the most sonically interesting music that they’ve made. Where Will Save Us All! was a blast of righteous electro-punk energy, this album sounds more like fighting the system from within, with a surprisingly pretty, polished pop side that borrows mainstream dance-pop and urban production techniques. The choppy, acoustic melancholia of “Coventry” conveys the isolation of modern life far better than a harangue about it would; likewise, “Culture Vulture” makes the most of Kiki’s Nico-like vocals. An unusually melancholy undercurrent colors 99 Cents, particularly on the trophy-girlfriend lament “Love Life” and “Shick Shaving,” a pretty, and pretty disturbing, Miss Kittin-sung track that mixes images of shaving and cutting. This melancholia seeps into some of the album’s louder tracks like “Sell-Out,” which advises “do it to yourself before it’s done to you” before descending into hellish marketing jargon. It’s a far cry from the emphatic style of Will Save Us All! (although this sound pops up, with diminishing returns, on tracks like “Universal Pussyy”), but it shows how willing Chicks on Speed are to challenge themselves as well as their listeners. ~ Heather Phares |
