Bernard Edwards of Chic laid down some crucial funk grooves during his time with Chic. Finally a person has had the foresight to transcribe some of his greatest grooves and present them for the bass community. Stuart Clayton has released a book of each Bernard’s bass lines AND Nile Rodgers’ guitar lines. The book is referred to as Funk & Disco Grooves For Bass & Guitar.
There are actors that take strategy acting to an entire distinct level by acquiring into their roles so hardcore that they continue to remain in character when on place and off for the complete length of a film shoot. They come to be those characters on screen till it is a wrap. I dig operating with actors like that for the reason that I view myself as a polite rebel method screenwriter, producer, and director.
When I commit to a movie project I put my entire creative self into the process. For great or bad, specially when I write a script, I sin with sinners if that’s what it takes to get the story right. It is my Hunter S. Thompson and Huge Daddy Kane song Ain’t No Half-Steppin’ strategy to movie making. Clearly, I can not get into everything, but I like to push it to.
This book can be a collection of transcriptions of both guitar and bass lines to a host of great tunes that had been played on by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. The book covers songs from Chic, Sister Sledge & Diana Ross – as well as the song they produced for Carly Simon referred to as Why.

I was on the East Coast with Editor Tim Beachum cutting a scene that centered around 1 strange mota and alcohol fueled mental fight. Looking for inspiration we hit a few bars along the beach, invited a good deal of people towards the studio to party. That scene was edited beneath the influence of red headed sluts (the bar drink), Jack Daniel’s Green Label, Johnnie Walker Blue, Stoli, Corona, and medical marijuana.
