I have these coins Liberty Coins from 1986. Ones a dollar and ones a half dollar. Does anybody know what they are made of?

I think you are talking about the Ellis Island commemorative $1 and 50 cents. The dollar is indeed 90% silver and contains .77 troy ounces of silver. The half is clad copper / nickel.
