State quarter collection value?
I have all 50 quarters and get them out of basic money, not in new condition, will it still be worth something?
Not in your life time but may be for your children. The mint did not do a good job in explaining just what a set is. A set of circulation strikes is 2 of each one with a P mint mark and one with a D. They also failed to let the general public know that the state quarters were available in proof sets, one being the clad proofs and one being the silver proofs they have an S mint mark. If you had collected all the above, your set would be worth close to $800. Since your coins are not mint state it will be a very long time before they are worth more than face value. I hope you did learn about the states and it is a challenge to collect a set from change. The fun of collecting coins is not the so called profit but the challenge of actually doing it. I have a lot of historic coins that have a small value and I like them as well as the ones I have, that are worth a lot. Also there are cents out there in change that are worth quite a bit look for the 1995 doubled die as well as others such as the 1984 doubled ear.
