What should I know before I go to Washington DC?
My school is taking a trip to Washington DC and I’ve been doing a little research on the places we’re visiting. Is there anything that you think I should know beforehand? We’re going in February. We’ll be visiting World War II Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR
Memorial, Naval Academy, Holocaust Museum, Inner Harbor, and Arlington National Cemetery, White House, National Cathedral, Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Complex, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Mount Vernon, Iwo Jima Memorial, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and Korean Memorial.
Oh, and any secrets that you know about DC?

And here I thought you were laughing WITH me when I was standing in awe at Rosslyn Metro! 
As I’m just a tourist myself, albeit a frequent one, I don’t have as many secrets to offer as the locals will. However, here’s a bit of hard-learned advice: Go for comfort, not fashion, with your clothing/footwear because there is a LOT of walking and drink lots of water. Also, you will not see everything you want to in one trip. There is simply too much to see and do. So, don’t be disappointed by the things you didn’t see, just be thrilled with the things you did. Hope you have a wonderful time!
