Lincoln Wheat Penny
I have 2 pennies that i am curious about…?
The first is a Lincoln penny where the edge is almost rounded towards the face and the memorial. It is so prominent that it is smaller than what it should be. I cannot read the date on it, but was curious as to whether it is worth anything.
The second penny is like a silver color. It’s a 1943 Lincoln Wheat penny. Why would it be silver, and is there any extra value on this one?

The first cent is a damaged coin that was done outside the mint. The 1943 cent is actually zinc coated steel. The 1943 with no mint mark had a mintage of 684,628,670 and even today show up in change. In circulated grades it sells for .10 to .50 cents. The zinc and steel make it a silver color. The coin has more history value than a monetary one. The U.S. was at war and things the beginning of that year were not good. It looked better at the end of the year. It was a long road to victory. Hope this helps.
