i found a 1979 silver penny?

is it worth anything i found it in my wallet and i was just wondering have i found something that is worth something or am i just wishful thinking this is this most i have found on it

In my high school chemistry class, one experiment involved coating pennies in a chemical solution, then exposing it to heat, causing it to turn silver or gold in color. My best guess is that what you found is a result of such a process, and is only worth face-value.
