GUADALAJARA, MEXICO– – Pura Vida Tequila Company’s terrifically successful Internet streaming radio station, Radio Pura Vida — the 1st station fueled by tequila — is now available as a free iPhone/iPad/iPod application download.
Radio Pura Vida is the final result of years of work by Stewart Skloss, the larger than life creator of the Mexican-based Tequila Company as well as the extraordinary vision and contributions of Pura Vida fellow investor, Rock-N-Roll Hall-Of-Fame musician Billy Gibbons, of ZZ TOP.
“Since the launching of the online streaming media player on Cinco de Mayo 2011, Radio Pura Vida has had just about 150,000 hits and this number is growing daily,” claims Mr. Skloss. “With the launching of the new smart phone applications, listeners can now take the party with them wherever they go.”
According to American Media Services (AMS), Internet Radio is one of the fastest-growing online media categories. The weekly Net Radio audience has doubled each 5 years since 2001 and the Online Radio audience now reaches an estimated 57 million folk age twelve and older per week, based on the latest Arbitron and Edison research.
Actually Arbitron stated that ten percent of that age group listens frequently to the Internet Radio service Pandora and tunes in for a mean of almost 10 hours per week. The study also highlights that use of smartphones has virtually doubled during the past year with 31% using the devices and their applications.
