New Kia Optima Showing New LED Lights For Daytime Lights   by Car LED Lights

THE Kia Magentis replacement, the Optima, has arrived US.

The model is Kia’s latest effort to capture the mid-size saloon market in many countries which it anticipates growing by 23 per cent from 4.3 million to 5.3 million in 2013.

The Optima, Kia’s flagship for its design-led transformation, beat out more than 70 other new or significantly redesigned 2011 models to earn Best of 2011 honors from Cars.com. Chosen over five other finalists, including the BMW 5 Series, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Volt, Honda Odyssey and Nissan LEAF, the Optima was singled out for its crisp interior and exterior styling, as well as its breadth of luxury features, including heated seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Over at Edmunds, the Optima was the only mid-size sedan and one of only six vehicles to receive an Editor’s Most Wanted Award from Inside Line, which honors those vehicles that 11 Inside Line editors “like the best.” The Optima was acclaimed for a “comfortable cabin, excellent mileage and plenty of features.”

“The Optima was selected by Cars.com over a luxury car that costs more than twice as much, and other vehicles that were supposed to be big technological innovations,” said Joe Dziedzic, general manager of Quirk Kia, a Greater Boston Kia dealer. “Both awards are proof that the Optima brings something completely different to the table. It’s an exquisitely designed, reasonably priced midsize sedan packed with high-end features.”

The new Optima has been redesigned and compared to the previous generation model, it is also longer, wider and lower. In terms of looks, the Optima’s fascia resembles the Koup but is more striking with more chrome, LED lights as daytime running lights, LED bulbs for tail lights and HID xenon headlamps.

The Optima will be available here as an LX variant – more equipment – in a 2-litre engine format paired to a six-speed automatic transmission which offers two driving modes – normal and sport. It will have a 2-litre engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and will produce 165bhp with 198Nm of torque. The Magentis replacement will touch 60 miles in 10.9 seconds.
