I need help coming up with things to put in care packages for Haiti.?
I REALLY want to help with the relief effort in Haiti but Im 17 and do not have a job (so I cannot donate money or go to Haiti to help).
I am a Boy Scout (BSA) and I thought that I could use that to my advantage (to get people to donate things for the relief effort).
I want to be able to make a lot of Care Packages but do not know what sort of things they would need. I thought about doing a tent drive so that they can have some temporary shelter.
But what else?
Also how would I be able to go about getting stores and other companies to donate some items?

Instead, they are asking for money. I realize you are a minor and do not have a job. Perhaps you could work with local grocery or other stores in your community to put out jars that loose change could be collected in and then that could be donated to the relief efforts on behalf of your boy scout troop.
Talk with your troop leader and let him know your intentions. Brainstorm with your fellow scouts and I am sure you’ll come up with a great idea.
